Can anyone give me a site where I can get free legal advice for divorce?

Depending on what state and county you live in there are usually services provided by your local governemnt. Ofcourse that depends on your financial sitution. If there is huge amounts of money involved then you will want to consult a reputable private attorney; and if there is alot of money involved you can probably afford it. As for as children and custody go; those issues are standard in most states these days and the money you have for an attorney will not dictate how the court decides custody/child support issues. Can anyone give me a site where I can get free legal advice for divorce?
Dear Friend,

Hiring a lawyer for minor legal problems can be expensive, but there are websites like LawGuru, FindLaw and other places where you can get free legal advice. I found this website useful - http://www.uelp.org/freelegal.htmlCan anyone give me a site where I can get free legal advice for divorce?

Start calling some lawyers offices, sometimes you can find one how will give you a free consoltation.
www.prairielaw.com
pick your self up and go apply for public assistance.call volunteer lawyers.go find a job and make him pay for the divorce.and save all the bills.you pay ,and call all the places you owe money to.apply for section 8 housing.then go find somebody that loves you for you.good luck,
Any bill in his name-do NOT pay them. Anything in your name, try to pay. Definitely call the creditors for the bills in your name and tell then the situation. They'd prefer to help you rather than have you default and cause them grief. If you have utility bills in his name, call up and start new accounts in your name and leave the ones in his name unpaid. Just tell them that he no longer lives there and you'd like to have them switched on in your name instead. Unpaid bills in his name will be his problem, not yours.

Lots of info, including laws for each state.

He took the money and ran. You may be better off now. You have a second chance at life. Try the phone book most attorneys offer free consultation. Maybe they can make your husband pay the attorney's fees and court costs.
there is legal services in every state that is free of charge to low income. try that. they can help you a lot, even a free divorce.
The first thing you need to do is go to your local department of family and children services and apply for help. If you cannot get there then find a neighbor or friend that can help you out. This story is too often for women and a sad shame. You can't change how your husband is but you can do something about it. Im sorry that happened to you. You can bounce back and be ok. If you need someone to talk to after this you can contact me on my messenger ok. Ill be here for you...
Lord I am sorry to hear about that...I hope you can get everything settled..you can call a local lawyers office and talk to them..tell them he took everything and you just need help...

I did something bad at work and i need legal advice...?

I worked for a company for 2 years. and my mom died a year ago and when she died i started to ring things out without ringing it up. i did this for a year and i was really depressed im only 22. i have never done anything wrong to get in to trouble with the law my whole life. now im scared and i kno i have to change. i cant belive i got so depressed. anyways i got a letter today saying that i owe 10,000. i cant do that. i can make payments but not in full. my sisters husband is a lawyer and he said its a fourth degree felonie and i will probaly get probation.. if i go to court. im confused and scared cause im not that person anymore and im better and happier and im over the fact that my mother died and i kno i deserve some punishment. ive beat myself up for it so many times... i jus want someone to hinestly let me kno that I am not going to jail. since this is the first and last time i have ever done something like this

please help meI did something bad at work and i need legal advice...?
My first piece of advice would be to consult a lawyer, but you have done that and are still not sure. I am not a lawyer, but I do know a little about the law.

You can go to jail, there is no doubt about it.

If you are honestly ashamed about your crimes and you want to at least try to make payments then you can get probation. Think about it, if you are in jail you can't make any money to pay what you owe. If you are free and want to make payments then the company has at least a chance of recovering part of its losses.

Since, you don't have a criminal record the judge will be more likely to let you off on probation. If you start making some payments before trial then the chances improve. Your sister's husband gave you some advice, I strongly suggest that you get him to help you and even appear at trial with you.

Without a lawyer you don't have the knowledge or power to make a decent deal and you have a good chance of ending up in jail.

If you get probation, an it is more likely for a crime like this than other criminal acts, then part of that probation requirement will probably be a threat of a jail sentence if you DON'T make payments.I did something bad at work and i need legal advice...?
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...you did the crime...either pay or do the time...funny if you were so honest why doesn't your Lawyer brother-in-law lwnd you the money?
If you show true sincerity, they might just let you off the hook.

I know I had done one thing that was really...uh...stupid...and the cops did not ticket me or anything. They even filed it as not my fault. Why? Because they could tell I was a nice person by looking at my records. There was nothing wrong on it.

I believe you when you say you have done nothing bad and if a judge can take that into consideration that everyone makes mistakes, then maybe he will let you with minimum price. (Like making you pay 500 dollars a month to the company.) Then you forget it and move on.

Good luck, hun and I hope it works out.
Nobody can tell you that you won't go to jail. The best anyone can say is what your brother-in-law told you. You will probably get probation and will have to make a payment agreement. If you refuse the payment agreement, or can't make sufficient payments as determined by the judge, you will go to jail. It will help if you can get a psychiatric evaluation and enter that report into the court record.

Should lawyers provide moral and ethical guidance to clients, in addition to legal advice and representation?

In general is not necessary. It is not compulsary that Lawyers must needfully give mental counsel to their clients. Lawyers are experts and they excell in giving moral advice to their clients. To know more informations about lawyers visit the link below.

http://www.thetourism.biz/tourismspots.h鈥?/a>Should lawyers provide moral and ethical guidance to clients, in addition to legal advice and representation?
';compartmentalization of ethics'; explains it all, there is the real ';truth'; and there is the professional ';truth';. In other words, you can only be immoral, if your profession requires it. That's why tehy also call lawyers ';whores of teh legal profession';. The other oldest profession is far more honorable :DShould lawyers provide moral and ethical guidance to clients, in addition to legal advice and representation?
Do you personally know any lawyers that are ethical?

Perry Mason was a fictional character.
As a general rule no. Lawyers are not mental health counselors. Many lawyers have problems of their own, what makes them experts at giving moral and ethical advice to anyone? That's like asking Donald Trump for the name of his hairdressor. You want your hair looking like that?
  • bloom-
  • If I stood outside the courthouse telling everyone to plead not-guilty would that quailify as ';Legal advice'; ?

Here's the general difference between legal information and legal advice.

Suppose I tell you that the tort of negligence requires that you have a duty of care, that you generally must act as a reasonable person in the situation, and that if you breach your duty of care such that the breach results in someone else being harmed. That's legal information. I've defined the elements of negligence.

Now suppose I tell you that your duty in this particular situation is X-Y-Z, and that in this particular situation your actions were or were not a breach. Suppose I further tell you that to defeat a claim against you for negligence in this particular situation, you would need to prove or disprove A-B-C facts. That's legal advice, because it pertains directly to your specific situation, and because it analyzes your particular rights and obligations in the situation.

If I told everyone to plead not-guilty, without knowing anything about their situation, that wouldn't be giving information particular to their situation. However, if they reasonably relied upon my statements, it could affect their rights and obligations.

It's a running joke that whenever you ask an attorney a question, the initial answer is ';it depends';. That's because legal advice analyzes an outcome (liability, guilt, etc) depending upon many specific facts. If the answer doesn't depend on any facts, and isn't specific definition of rights and obligations, then it probably wouldn't be considered legal advice.

The line between them matters, because a non-lawyer can provide legal information. However, providing legal advice without a license may constitute unauthorized practice of law.If I stood outside the courthouse telling everyone to plead not-guilty would that quailify as ';Legal advice'; ?
no exactly, but they may find you donig something else wrong- stay homeIf I stood outside the courthouse telling everyone to plead not-guilty would that quailify as ';Legal advice'; ?
    are you a lawyer?
    yea
perhaps you should do it from the bottom of a cliff

    get it?
You could try that... Probly depended which court house you stood out front of. Alot are the Kangaroo courts. (slang for Minds already made up)
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING RIGHT!
Maybe you could qualify it by wearing a tee-shirt that says: ';The information you obtain from me is not, nor is it intended to be, legal advice.'; That's what all those websites do.
    funny
Not unless they asked you what they should do.

Here is a totally different approach to getting a name that is fun and involves your friends.

There are also some other angles which you must pay attention to.

Try this link: http://www.ychange.com/ychangeblog/?p=78鈥?/a> and follow the suggestions.

Good LuckLegal advice for naming a company?
You will need to register your company name with

the local authorities like the companies registry or

    similar office where you live.

You should keep some alternative names ready.

When you give them your first choice of name,

they should do the name search through their

computers and tell you if that name is available or not.

If not available try for your next choice!

    Good luck friend.
