I am going to attend Goldsmiths College in New Cross London in a months time and am going to house share with some people.


One of the people that are looking have said that the eastate agent had said that they only have 12 month contracts, but we only need 9 months.


Are they trying to scam us? Is this normal for London?

During the time I was Letting my property in Catford it was normal for me to sign 6 monthly contracts however because of high demands some landlords is trying to tie students to 12 monthly contracts to ensure their property is always occupied during this recession, you could shop around to see if you can find an estate agent who is willing to find you a nine months contract you should be able to find somewhere around the Catford Dept ford new cross gate or Brockley area by the way I attended Goldsmith Collage now a university during the eighties did German,.guitar, art good luck
