Legal advice on paternity testing please?

alright so my son has not been born yet but will be in about 7 weeks.

the father recently, about 2 days ago, claimed he was not the father.

i am afraid by the time the baby is born i will not be able 2 contact him or find him. there are a lot of circumstances that lead me to believe he was lying about his name and a lot of other stuff. i want him tested to prove he is the father because if he is not going to be there i want him to pay, but like i said, i am afraid he will be no where to be found. what should i do?Legal advice on paternity testing please?
First of all, the previous poster is wrong. There is NO statute of limitations on establishing paternity. You may track him down and request a test anytime during your child's life!

I can understand your concern. I had my first alone and her father skipped town and I never saw him again. I found later that some of the things he told me about himself were less than truthful. So, I have never been able to find him again. But, no worries. She is 21 yrs old and a great college student. She is very happy and well adjusted, so it didn't make much difference to her.

But, anyway, it is possible to do paternity testing while your baby is in utero, however, it can be quite costly. It also might be difficult to have the baby's father willingly submit to testing at this time. So, you will have to wait until after the baby is born and you can file a petition in court for established paternity, child support and full custody. This is a fight you might have to wait on until after you've had the baby.

Good luck, take good care of yourself and drink plenty of water. And don't worry about the baby's dad. He's going to have to face an ultimate judgment one day for walking away from his God given responsibility.

Many Blessings,

What an A-hole! and Congratulations on your son. I don't know who you can contact, but I do know that you have 2 years to get him tested. I don't know why, but I heard that after 2 years, you can't force ';the father'; to get a paternity test. I don't know your situation, but if this guy is Military, you can take it up with anybody, and he'll get in trouble. The Military is pretty strict on people taking responsibility for their actions. I hope you get the answers you're searching for. Good Luck with everything.
well im pretty sure that they can do a blood comparison while you are pregnant. I would also reccomend that you begin the child custody/support right away to ensure that you and your child and protected in case he does run. If he does and ever files taxes they will find him if there is a case pending, reason you should try right away.
You need to go through the state for collecting support. The state has available to it, a parent locator service from the federal government. If he doesn't want to be there for the child, file for support through the state.

Remember that each state has different laws concerning support so keep and open mind with what you read online.
Take this to court. The court may order him to take a paternity test. If he is the father, he will have to pay child support. I hope you win the case! He sounds like a coward.
