If the product was determined to be faulty I am assuming the installer made this determination after installing the product. I would actually pursue a complaint against the maker of the product with the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org.) They are actually responsible for this incurred expense. As consumers we expect that our purchases are defective free and tested by the manufacturer prior to putting it on the market. In your particular situation the product could not be determined to be faulty by the consumer unless it was installed and tested. At the end of your complaint there is a question that states something to the effect what outcome are you seeking. State you seeking to be reimbursed for the $120.00 and if you are unable to come to an amicable agreement you will pursue action in small claims court as well as seek all court costs incurred.Anyone have some good legal advice?
You do not need an attorney for small claims court. You can do it on your own.
