Yes in NC both have joint custody unless you have a court order. You need to go to your local courthouse %26amp; if you have a family court area go there %26amp; they have a packet for custody.

You can't leave the state without getting a court order changed. They do this to keep the parents, when seperated, from moving far away and not allowing access to the child to the other parent.
