My dad owns his own construction business and several people owe him money, what can he do to get the money owed to him without spending time and money at small claims court? Each client signed a contract to pay 30% upfront and then the rest when the job was finished, but now they won't pay. What do we do?Legal advice on money that is owed to me.?
file leins on their property.. if they still don't pay within a couple mos.. take em to court. Small claims court is no big deal at all and not very expensive unless your dads co. is a corporation... in my state corporations have to have a lawyer to even file a small claims case. $$$$
