I'm under investigation by the secret service. I've been charged locally arrested and released on ror bond by district court. when the feds decide to indite me, will I go back to jail? If so, a local or federal?Legal advice: Possibly being federally indited for a white collar crime. Will I be arrested again?
Your question is a tad confusing.
From what I read into the question, you were charged at the state level and were released on bond by your state district court. This is a state charge, and that charge will proceed independently of any federal charge against you.
The US Secret Service may or may not share the information they gather with the state's attorney, (although generally they will). However, if they present the case to the US Attorney, and he/she obtains an indictment against you in the US District Court, then yes, you will be arrested and be brought before (usually) a US Magistrate for processing and the setting of bond.
You need to obtain an attorney who is experienced in criminal defense here. Do so immediately, and if you are indicted, he/she can negotiate your surrender with a minimum of bother to you.
Contact your local or state bar association for more information.Legal advice: Possibly being federally indited for a white collar crime. Will I be arrested again?
by secret service? you're playing with the feds.
btw, the word is indicted.
