I need legal advice for this situation?

I was hanging out on my back porch waiting for my boiling coffee to cool down when an insect flew into it. I decided to throw it off the porch unto the grass. But I was not aware that me neighboor was hiding there trying to scare me. I inadvertently threw boiling coffee on his head. He recieved second degree burns on his head and some of his face. He is now trying to sue me. Does he have a case? Should I be worried?I need legal advice for this situation?

I would suggest not throwing boiling coffee on your neighbors.
He was trespassing. I think you could have killed him and still been in the clear. But he probably will say you invited him over (at some point in the past) and then did this to him.....
He probably does have a case unless you specifically told him not to go on your property. Why don't you just pay his out of pocket costs for his medical care and call it even?
